As the daylight wanes, we begin to spend more time indoors and move less. Our bodies slow down and naturally seek to enter a period of rest and renewal.
Unfortunately, our modern busy lifestyle is not in alignment with the cycles of the seasons and this creates extra strain on our mental, emotional and physical body systems, making us more susceptible to illness.
Herbalists know that having remedies on hand is essential to ensure that we have what we need to get us through until spring. You too can learn to make your own healing concoctions in the Winter Wellness Workshop!
A quick trip to the local drug store reveals very few options for actually promoting health and wellness; most products are designed to suppress and relieve symptoms
Herbs and healing foods can be a great alternative but these products can be very expensive to purchase. So why not learn to make your own?!
In this workshop series, I will show you just how easy it is to create the nourishing herbal preparations that will keep you supported all winter (and beyond!)
Within our selves we have deeply held beliefs about our world and our place within it. These beliefs combine with past experiences to influence our perceptions: the lens through which we interpret the world around us. Our interpretations in turn lead to thoughts about what should or shouldn't be true or right, triggering a biochemical response in the body. That's called an emotion. This cascade of biochemicals has a profound effect on our health and well-being, all arising from our beliefs, perceptions and thoughts. Over time, an excess of one creates an imbalance within the body that can eventually manifest as dis-ease.
"Our bodies ...respond to these perceptions by releasing chemicals that affect our physical health and well-being… for better or for worse." ~ Bruce Lipton
Because these aspects of our selves are manifesting in an energetic way, we must use an energetic healing modality to access these parts of ourselves. This is where flower essences truly shine. When we look to plants as allies in our healing journey, they help us release, retain or transform qualities we need in our next stage of life.

Some of the best medicines are found in the kitchen!
I love plants and all the ways they help us: giving us air to breathe, their beauty and of course, their medicine. My health is elevated thanks to the plants! I'd love to help you discover the amazing world of green medicine so that you can use plants to support your health also.
Through the years I've learned from the plants themselves and from many amazing herbalists, including formal training in herbalism. Many hours in the fields, the garden and the kitchen has given me the skills and knowledge for creating a seasonally focused herbal lifestyle that includes a robust herbal apothecary. You too can create a healing herbal pantry to support your and your family's health. Once you start on the plant path, you won't want to live any other way!
